What does the role involve?

As a Maintenance Technician at Scandic, your primary focus is to keep the hotel in excellent condition for our guests. Scandic is the tenant and is responsible for the operational maintenance of both the hotel's contents and the building. The work takes place largely in guest rooms and other guest areas, resulting in many hellos in the corridors with our guests – this is exactly where and when we demonstrate the good service we offer.

In your role, you work with daily operations as well as planned and corrective maintenance of the hotel's premises and installations, such as doors, locks, furniture, and equipment in guest rooms, gym, kitchen, restaurant, conference rooms, pool, and sauna/relax areas. Measures for optimizing the building's climate system, heating, and ventilation, as well as reading consumption meters, are also included.

Furthermore, the role involves working with the hotel's fire and safety, property management, and maintenance, both preventive and emergency. Sustainability is a key word, and you actively work to integrate this further into our working methods. The operation involves certain regulatory requirements, and you are involved in many of these. Structure, attention to detail, drive, and flexibility are important qualities. You have an eye for detail, enjoy working with people, and thrive in a changing environment. You report to a Property Manager.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who thrive with and enjoy days that look different. One day you clear a blockage in a drain, the next day you work on taking water samples, and the third day on administrative tasks. The position is very hands-on; this is not an office job. The hotel's guests and your colleagues become your customers. We are looking for you who have technical education and experience in property management. You have knowledge in one of the areas: electrical, plumbing (HVAC), or control and regulation technology. Knowledge of fire safety is required for the position, including facility manager training for fire alarms & sprinklers and certification. Additionally, you are computer literate and have good knowledge of Swedish and English.

Information about the position:

The position is a permanent part-time employment at 75%. The possibility of a 100% position may become relevant in the long term.

We apply a probationary period. Your direct manager will be the Hotel Director. The location covers day shifts during weekdays and weekends. Start date: as soon as possible.

A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician is required. Experience in the service industry is a big plus.
