Do you have experience in mechanics, service, or repair within vehicles or heavy industry? Do you want to work in a high-tech environment where quality, safety, and problem-solving are in focus? We are now helping BAE Systems build a completely new service organization and are looking for several dedicated service technicians.
About the role
As a service technician, you will become part of a newly established department that will grow over the coming years. The role offers a varied daily routine where practical work is combined with troubleshooting, analysis, and technical support – both in the workshop and in the field.
You will work closely with project managers and other functions, playing a key role in ensuring functionality, quality, and operational reliability in advanced systems. Travel is a natural part of the role, both nationally and internationally.
Your responsibilities
In this role, you will among other things:
- Perform troubleshooting, service, and mechanical repairs on advanced systems and vehicles.
- Replace worn components and identify and analyze wear and improvement needs.
- Car out warranty work and service updates, both mechanically and to some extent within software.
- Support national and international exercises by ensuring that systems function as intended.
- Work based on production orders, material lists, and assembly instructions.
- Contribute to technical documentation and reporting of completed work and deviations.
Collaborate with internal functions such as project managers, development, and technical support.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a technical background, either through education in areas such as electrical engineering, production technology, vehicles, or mechanics, or equivalent work experience. You have previously worked practically in a production environment and feel confident handling technical tasks and instructions in your daily work.
You have good knowledge of both Swedish and English, as the work involves documentation, instructions, and collaboration with various functions. Furthermore, you are comfortable working with digital tools and have good general computer skills, including the Office package and other production-related systems.
We would appreciate it if you also have experience with reading drawings and CAD, and have worked in MPS systems or similar production systems.
To succeed in the role, we see that you have:
- Practical experience from production, preferably in electrical, assembly, or other service-oriented operations.
- Good technical understanding and habit of working according to instructions and quality requirements.
- Ability to combine precision with an efficient work approach.
Requirements for the position:
- Valid driver's license (Category B)
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Merits:
- Driver's license (Category C)
- Experience or education in mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, or vehicle repair
We place great importance on your practical experience, technical interest, and willingness to continue developing in the role.
Personal qualities
To thrive in this role, we see that you are a careful and responsible person with a strong technical interest. You work methodically and have the ability to solve problems even in more complex situations.
You are self-motivated and flexible, while also enjoying collaboration with others and contributing to a good team spirit. The role requires documentation and structure, meaning you need to be comfortable with the administrative aspects of the work. Furthermore, you are communicative and handle various types of contacts, both internal and external, with ease.
