Your role

As a Control Room Operator at the Kristineberg mine, you are the hub of operations and have a central role in keeping production running. Your task is to create and coordinate a sustainable and reliable weekly and shift plan for the mining operations. You monitor and control operations in real-time, coordinate the flow of machinery and materials, and maintain ongoing contact with personnel in the mine.

Work in the control room contributes to the business achieving its goals with high safety and productivity. You actively contribute to good collaboration between work groups and play a key role in handling deviations, emergencies, and monitoring ground support. The role requires good prioritization skills and the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.

The position involves shift work every other week, alternating between morning and afternoon shifts.

Your team

Today, the team consists of four people, and you are responsible for the shift you work on. You work closely with other departments in the organization and manage daily operations on your shift.

Your responsibilities

The work involves planning and preparing activity plans for mining operations to ensure that both short-term and long-term goals are met. You are responsible for monitoring ongoing activities, prioritizing efforts, and adjusting planning in case of unforeseen events. We continuously work to prevent, analyze deviations, and drive improvements to develop our way of working. The role involves performing varied tasks in an sometimes fast-paced environment and handling them with good prioritization skills.

Formal qualifications

  • Experience in planning, logistics, or production control.
  • Knowledge of mining or similar production environments.
  • Basic knowledge of occupational health and safety responsibilities.
  • Experience with systems such as Microsoft Teams, Planner, dashboards, Power BI, or similar tools.
