Your Role

We are currently seeking a Mechanic for our unique production of the latest submarine and surface vessel technology at one of the world's most modern shipyards.

In your role as a Mechanic, your primary responsibilities will focus on the manufacturing and assembly of mechanical installations within the new construction of surface vessels. As a Mechanic, you will work in areas such as: Propulsion, Valve/Pump, Rudder Assembly, and Pressure Testing. This ensures a highly varied workload and provides excellent opportunities to develop your craftsmanship and professional expertise.

To succeed as a Mechanic with us, we look for someone who is cooperative, solution-oriented, and meticulous.

Your Profile

Requirements

• Competence in material processing, including drilling, turning, milling, and threading.
• Upper secondary education in workshop technology or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Mechanic.
• Ability to read drawings and schematics.
• Good knowledge of materials.
• Basic computer literacy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with overhead cranes, forklifts, and mobile platforms.
• Knowledge of fasteners and metrology.
• Experience in areas such as hydraulics/pneumatics, compressed air, and safety valves.

The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance checks applicable at the time. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
