About the Workplace

Rävemåla Friskola is an alternative school and after-school center in Tingsryd Municipality. We offer education for grades Pre-K to 6, as well as after-school care. It is a small school with just over 80 students, guided by the core values of learning, community, and health.

The school operates as a limited company but is non-profit. The owner is a non-profit association in Älmeboda parish. We have short decision-making paths between the operations team and the board, fostering a flexible and close-knit work environment.

About the Role

We are looking for someone passionate about giving students the best conditions for success! You must be a trained and licensed special educator. Your main task will be to collaborate with the student health team and teaching staff to support students' knowledge development. Experience in children's literacy and/or mathematics development is highly valued.

You thrive in smaller settings and value teamwork. We strive for small class sizes where every student is seen, with classes consisting of approximately 10–12 students. We have a fantastic schoolyard and excellent facilities.

We have a well-developed student health team including the principal, special educator/teacher, counselor, social pedagogue, and school nurse. Psychologists and school doctors are available when needed. You will fill a key competence gap, and your interventions will be determined based on needs identified in our student health meetings. You will work closely with our class teachers to find the best way to reach our students' goals.

You should have a conscious understanding of your role as an educator and be a clear leader who works systematically based on current guidelines. A professional approach is essential. You create a good work climate characterized by engagement, curiosity, and security, and you meet students' diverse needs according to their prerequisites. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, flexible working style, strong collaboration skills, and a desire to contribute to the development of our activities.
