Bharat Forge Kilsta AB in Karlskoga is part of Bharat Forge Ltd – the world's largest forging company and part of the Kalyani Group. With approximately 300 employees, we are one of the leading global suppliers of crankshafts and front axle beams for heavy-duty trucks. We also manufacture components for passenger cars and steering systems.
The heart of our operations is our unique 16,000-ton forging press, one of the most efficient of its kind in the world. Our customers include some of Europe's largest truck manufacturers, and we operate in an international, high-tech environment where quality and sustainability are at the forefront.
We are in an exciting and expansive phase, seeing opportunities in the long term to broaden our operations beyond the Automotive sector.
About the Role
Here, you will become a key person in quality work, focusing on quality assurance for new products. The role also covers environmental and sustainability issues, with responsibilities initially tailored to your experience.
Experience in both quality and environment is advantageous – in this case, you will work with both areas from the start. If your background is primarily in quality but you have an interest in environment and sustainability, you will have the opportunity to gradually grow into that part of the role.
Initially, your focus will be on quality work, project management, and validation of new products. You will become part of an experienced quality team with an accessible manager and close collaboration among colleagues, providing excellent conditions for development. You will report to the Quality and Environment Manager.
Your Main Responsibilities
Within Quality:
- Lead APQP projects
- Responsible for product and process validation
- Create control plans and quality documentation
- Drive FMEA work
- Provide support to the organization on quality matters
- Collaborate with customers and suppliers
Within Environment and Sustainability:
- Participate in and conduct internal and external audits according to ISO 14001
- Prepare environmental reports and ensure compliance with our environmental permit requirements
- Monitor laws and regulations in the environmental field, and coordinate and follow up on necessary actions in operations
- Perform sustainability reporting
- Act as the contact person for authorities and other stakeholders regarding external environment and sustainability
At our company, you get the best of both worlds
Quality and environment are an integrated and prioritized part of our operations – from the customer's design, through engineering, to manufacturing and delivery.
As part of an international group, you have the opportunity to exchange experiences with colleagues globally, while our local organization is close-knit and decision-making paths are short. This gives you a broad understanding of the business, many contact points, and good opportunities to influence.
You collaborate daily with colleagues in production, engineering, purchasing, technology, and sales, while also maintaining contact with customers, suppliers, and colleagues within the group.
Here, you do not become a specialist on the sidelines of the business – you become part of it.
The office and production are located on the same site, meaning it is never far to the heart of the operations.
We are looking for someone who
- Has a relevant higher education or university degree, or equivalent work experience
- Has experience in quality work, preferably within manufacturing industry
- Has knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and automotive core tools such as FMEA, PPAP, MSA, and SPC (advantageous)
- Has an interest in environmental and sustainability work (experience is advantageous)
- Fluently speaks and writes Swedish and English
To thrive with us and in the role, we believe you...
are a curious and engaged person who easily builds relationships and creates trust. You work in a structured and analytical manner, take responsibility, and enjoy driving issues forward. Solving problems together with others comes naturally to you.
The role involves many contact points, making you comfortable in a visible position where you participate in meetings, present your work, and engage in dialogue with colleagues from various parts of the business. You appreciate switching between the office and production and are motivated by finding improvements and contributing to the development of the business.
We welcome both senior professionals and those at the beginning of their careers. Here, it is not the number of years that matters – it is your drive.
At our company, we live by our values Together, Reliable, and Driven in our daily work. You are driven, see opportunities where others see obstacles, and actively contribute to an inclusive and collaborative climate. At the same time, you build trust by being reliable – in your deliveries, in your engagement, and in how you meet both colleagues and partners.
