Your Role

The area you will belong to is responsible for the electronic design of products with electronic content within the missile field. Your work will focus on printed circuit board (PCB) design, both digital design for signal and image processing as well as analog design. Since our advanced products rely on high transmission speeds, understanding signal integrity, EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility), and selecting design solutions that meet requirements is essential.

Your tasks will range from requirements management, development up to finished product, and contact with PCB manufacturers. You will be responsible for the layout work within our projects and assist with questions regarding DFM (Design for Manufacturing). The work is carried out with a clear focus on ensuring our products have high reliability and, above all, function in demanding environments with significant mechanical stress and varying temperatures. At our company, you will work in a project-based manner and have extensive contact with other technical areas such as systems, mechanics, and software.

Since we work at the absolute forefront of technology, we assume you have genuine knowledge within the electronics field. Of course, we must continuously train our staff; having top-notch skills is a key to our success. Therefore, we offer our employees a wide range of courses to create future specialists and leaders.

The work includes PCB design with analog and digital solutions. To create a good design, analyses and simulations are conducted to meet EMC and signal integrity requirements. Interpreting and breaking down requirements are part of the job duties, along with documentation and specification of the design.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a university or civil engineer with a focus on electronics or equivalent. You have several years of experience in PCB design and layout. We believe you have experience discussing manufacturability with suppliers and thrive in a role with many interfaces.

Your workplace and office are located in Karlskoga. The position may involve travel both nationally and internationally.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
