Work as an Electricity Market Specialist

As an Electricity Market Specialist with us, you have an important role in developing and strengthening our electricity trading business. The role combines operational work and development, where you contribute with analysis, business support, and advice to both colleagues and customers. You work close to the operations and help develop our customer offering, product portfolio, working methods, and system support in a changing energy market. The role includes monitoring the external environment within the electricity market.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

  • Trading and energy optimization, as well as electricity trading according to the purchasing policy and handling of electricity certificates and guarantees of origin.
  • Analysis, reporting, and follow-up of key performance indicators.
  • Forecasting and optimization of production.
  • Quality assurance of data and development of working methods and system support.
  • Development work within support services, flexibility markets, as well as day-ahead and intraday trading.
  • Optimization of own facility assets, such as turbines and batteries.

The role belongs to the Marketing Department, and you will become part of the Energy Services group. The group consists of 13 people with a broad area of operations spanning electricity trading, district heating, district cooling, pellets, energy services for housing associations, and electric vehicle charging. Your closest colleague will be the Head of Electricity Trading, who leads and supports you in your daily work.

Your Profile

To thrive in the role of Electricity Market Specialist, you are business-minded, analytically inclined, and have a genuine interest in the energy sector. You have good communication skills and thrive in collaborations, where you build and develop long-term relationships with suppliers, partners, and colleagues. You drive your work forward independently, act as a natural bridge between different functions, and are motivated by analyzing complex connections and contributing to business-driven development and improvement of operations.

The ideal candidate has:

  • A university degree with a technical focus, e.g., Energy Engineering, Industrial Economics, or equivalent. Alternatively, work experience that we assess as equivalent.
  • Good system proficiency and experience working in business systems.
  • Very good skills in Excel.
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
  • A valid driver's license (Category B).

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience working with electricity trading or energy market-related issues.
  • Experience with support services, flexibility markets, or similar areas.
  • Experience from the energy sector.
  • Experience with business controlling, risk management, and market analysis.
