Your Role

Our operations are growing, and we are now looking for a Shift Leader with Plant Responsibility who wants to become part of our team! In this role, you work day shifts and have personnel and working environment responsibility for two operators. You are an present leader who ensures that employees have the right conditions, knowledge, and resources to perform their work safely and efficiently.

You also have overall technical responsibility within your area, which includes developing and maintaining process knowledge and being responsible for parts of the plant. In your work, you collaborate closely with other shift leaders and support functions and actively contribute to the development of the operations.

Your Team

You are based at the Concentration Plant in Boliden and work on-site together with your colleagues.

You belong to the production department, which consists of process operators, shift leaders, and production technicians. Together, you work towards common goals and report to the Production Manager of the Concentration Plant.

Your Workplace

The Concentration Plant is part of the Boliden area, along with three mines, and plays a central role in extracting and producing metals. Ore from the mines comes to us to be processed into concentrates that can be sold to our customers, the smelters. At our facility, the ore goes through several different process steps, including grinding, flotation, and leaching of precious metals. An important part of our operations is also the management of our sand storage and the purification of process water before it is released into the environment.

Your Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

  • Leading and distributing work for the operational staff
  • Ensuring that staff have the right competence, qualifications, and staffing levels
  • Ensuring that we achieve our production goals
  • Leading smaller projects and acting as a technical resource in larger projects
  • Conducting risk assessments and risk analyses and ensuring compliance
  • Working systematically with documentation, SOPs (standard operating procedures), instructions, and training materials for operational staff
  • Working in several different digital business and ERP systems
  • Being an authorized permit issuer for Hot Work

You are also interested in change management and have the ability to get others involved in development journeys and improvement work.

To be considered for the role, we see that you have:

  • A high school education and relevant work experience from a similar role or operation, or alternatively a post-secondary technical education
  • Fluent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
  • A valid driver's license (Category B)

Advantageous qualifications include:

  • Experience with leadership issues
  • University education, such as a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Maintenance or a similar field
  • K knowledge of legislation and regulations within the industry (AFS regulations, machine safety, inspected installations, etc.)
