Do you want to help develop the medicines and treatments of the future? A temporary position as a resident physician at CTC could be the next step in your career. CTC is a full-service CRO (Clinical Research Organisation) with six own research clinics across Sweden, three of which are located in Uppsala. One of these is a so-called First-In-Human unit located at Uppsala University Hospital, where medicines are tested in humans for the first time. CTC conducts clinical drug trials in all therapeutic areas in both early and late phases of drug development. By conducting clinical studies in an innovative and quality-assured manner, we contribute to tomorrow's healthcare. We are now looking for a temporary resident physician who wants to develop within clinical research and at the same time gain broad medical experience in an stimulating environment.

About the position

The position is a fixed-term temporary assignment of approximately 9 months with the possibility of extension depending on the needs of the business.

As a resident physician, you work closely with our clinical research physicians and other employees in multidisciplinary teams consisting of nurses, project managers, monitors, and other research staff. CTC has six permanently employed physicians. In this role, you will receive a structured introduction, participate in the group's regular meetings, and work under the supervision of experienced investigators.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, among other things:

• Conduct medical screening examinations of study participants, both healthy volunteers and patients with various types of diseases.
• Inform study participants about the studies and obtain informed consent from participants to take part in the studies.
• Perform health examinations, assess laboratory tests, ECGs, and other medical examinations.
• Participate in the dosing of new medicines and exercise medical supervision of study participants.
• Document study activities according to current regulations (ICH-GCP, Patient Data Act, Health and Medical Services Act).
• Contribute to the quality-assured and patient-safe implementation of our clinical studies.

Other information

Full-time or as agreed. A 9-month fixed-term employment applies. The work is scheduled during daytime hours 08:00-16:30 and does not involve on-call duties.

We prefer that you work full-time (100%) as it provides good continuity in the studies and the opportunity to develop quickly in the role, but we are open to discussing a part-time arrangement.

Location: Main location Uppsala, but if necessary, the work may need to be performed at our clinic in Solna.

As a CRO, we conduct clinical studies on behalf of industry and academia and offer a complete full-service package that includes the services, moments, and deliveries required to conduct a clinical trial – all to ensure that new medicines reach patients as quickly as possible.
