At Mattsson Metal, we are in a large, expansive, and exciting phase, and we are now looking for an experienced, clear, and action-oriented Production Manager for our unit in Mora. This role suits you if you have a good understanding of industrial production, possess leadership skills, and enjoy working close to operations.
Mattsson Metal is one of Northern Europe's leading contract manufacturers in hot pressing. Our focus is to create world-class hot-pressed products in copper, brass, and aluminum with the highest quality. We are a privately owned company with a stable customer base in the plumbing, electrical, and automotive industries. We have units in Mora and Kungsör with a total of approximately 130 employees. Here, you will find our manufacturing, design, and tooling under one roof. Our goal is to give our customers access to the best the market has to offer within our area of expertise. Your Responsibilities
As Production Manager at Mattsson Metal, you have overall responsibility for planning, leading, and developing the daily work in production. You ensure that operations are conducted according to set goals for safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery precision. This is achieved by creating clear priorities, ensuring the right staffing and competence, and monitoring production results. You identify deviations, initiate necessary actions, and actively work to create stable and efficient production flows. An important part of the assignment is to drive improvement work that develops both employees and the business. As Production Manager, you report to the Production Director.
Your Profile
The role requires clear, structured, engaged, and present leadership. As a leader, you are confident in making decisions, even when the pace is high, and have the ability to act clearly and consistently while being attentive and present in dialogue with employees. Through good communication, you create understanding of goals, requirements, and priorities, follow up that common working methods are adhered to, and create conditions for high responsibility and good teamwork.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Documented experience working as a production manager, team leader, or in another leadership role, preferably in manufacturing industry.
- Technical upper secondary education or equivalent technical competence acquired through work experience.
- Good experience working with Lean tools and value stream mapping.
- Experience working with production goals, follow-up, deviation management, and improvement work.
- Understanding of industrial flows, capacity, staffing, machine utilization, and quality requirements.
- The ability to document, implement, and follow up on common working methods.
- Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Valid driver's license (Category B).
Experience from the metal industry, engineering industry, or other manufacturing industries with high demands on quality and delivery security is highly meritorious. Knowledge of occupational health and safety work in manufacturing is also desirable.
