We are now looking for a Quality Engineer to join us in Karlsborg, just outside Kalix in the beautiful nature of Norrbotten. Do you already live in the area or are you considering moving to Kalix? As a Quality Engineer, you will be part of Business Development and Quality and report to Simon Strömbäck. In this role, you will hold a central position in driving and developing improvement work to optimize our operations. You will:

  • Develop and implement working methods, approaches, and processes in line with Billerud's production system
  • Be responsible for securing and developing management systems within quality, energy, environment, and food safety
  • Work with internal and external audits
  • Evaluate chemicals and packaging materials from a product safety perspective
  • Handle customer inquiries
  • Keep up to date with current legislation and implement these
  • Work cross-functionally and handle contacts both internally and externally

The position is a permanent full-time employment with daytime working hours.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role of Quality Engineer, we believe you have:

  • A university degree in one of the following areas: chemistry, environment, quality engineering, or equivalent competence
  • Fluent Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with management systems, improvement work, audit techniques, and product safety

Your ability to plan and prioritize is crucial for success in the role. At the same time, you are meticulous and quality-conscious, meaning you see the details but always keep the big picture in mind.
