Job Responsibilities
For this unique position, we are looking for you who are a Specialist in General Practice, where experience from working in home healthcare and special housing is advantageous.
The Local Care Ward, Näva, in Strömsund is located adjacent to Strömsund Health Center. Näva is a rural care ward with patients in both inpatient care and municipal short-term care, giving you a good overview of the entire care chain. Here, nurses and nursing assistants work together around the clock, along with rehab staff, doctors, unit manager, cleaners, and caretakers. Näva has a small work group that works closely together at a significantly slower pace compared to standard inpatient care.
At Näva, we treat patients, the majority of whom are elderly and often have multiple chronic conditions, requiring varying needs for nursing and medical interventions. We treat patients in all specialties except pediatrics. Common diagnoses include, for example, heart failure, cancer, various types of fractures, and infections.
In both forms of care, we treat people in need of palliative care in various stages. Palliative care is Näva's specialty, with collaboration with the Palliative Care Ward in Östersund and Storsjögläntan.
Responsibilities at Näva:
- Rounds Monday-Friday
- Patient admission and discharge
- Care planning
The position comprises approximately 40% work at Näva, where there are great opportunities for developing the operations. For example, further development of Good & Close Care, Digitalization, etc., medical leadership responsibilities, etc. We are open and flexible to test and introduce new ways of working.
The remaining 60% of the position is based at Strömsund Health Center. Here, there is an opportunity to tailor a position with tasks that suit you specifically. This could be, for example, 20% Child Health Center (BVC), 10% Maternity Health Center (MVC), 20-60% work as the responsible doctor for special housing, standard clinic work at the health center with your own patient list (e.g., working 60% at the clinic corresponds to 660 patients). Remote work opportunities are available.
Qualifications
We are looking for you with specialist competence in General Practice with a Swedish license and good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing. You have Swedish language skills equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale.
You enjoy working in a team with other professions, close to the patient, and would like to contribute to the development of the operations.
As a person, we see that you are positive, humble, have good initiative, and prefer to work in a solution-oriented manner. Furthermore, we would like you to have a structured, flexible working method and be open to changes within the area of operations.
