Do you want to work as a Locum Junior Doctor in the Medicine Department at Östersunds Hospital?

As a Locum Junior Doctor, you will be employed within the Medicine Department, working alongside approximately 30 specialist doctors, around 20 ST-doctors, as well as several AT-doctors and locum junior doctors. The Medicine department belongs to the Dermatology, Infectious Diseases, and Internal Medicine area. The area is characterized by an open-minded approach, a supportive climate, and close collaboration. We also maintain close ties with doctors in other clinical departments, resulting in excellent cooperation.

Östersunds Hospital is a comprehensive and well-equipped emergency hospital with high competence in both medical specialties and nursing. With 2,500 employees, it is the only hospital in the county, which is an advantage as it facilitates proximity between different specialties. This proximity benefits the patients. Versatility, breadth, and a supportive climate for research and education are characteristic of the hospital. We have a good collaboration with the Northern Sweden University Hospital in Umeå and serve as a training site for doctors linked to Umeå University.

Job Responsibilities

Standard duties for a junior doctor, including ward work, on-call duties, and work in the emergency department.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree.
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both oral and written.
  • Experience with the Cosmic system is required.
  • Experience working on a hospital ward is meritorious.
  • Personal qualities are highly valued.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
