We are an independent optical practice in Östersund with extensive experience, focusing on quality, personal meetings, and professionalism.

We are growing and are now looking for an additional licensed optician who wants to work long-term and help continue developing Optikern i Jämtland. We strive for professional pride and a calm working environment.

About the position

As an optician with us, you will have the opportunity to work in a calm and professional environment where we prioritize quality over stress, and where personal contact with the customer is at the center.

We allocate ample time for eye examinations and want to give every customer the time and care needed to create the best possible experience.

As an optician with us, you will have the opportunity to work broadly within the optical profession, with great variety in your daily work.

The responsibilities include, among other things:

• Eye examinations focusing on vision and eye health
• Helping customers find individually tailored vision solutions
• Advice and medical certificates
• Fitting and finishing optical vision aids
• You will have room to work carefully, build relationships, and fully utilize your skills – without constant time pressure.
• Involvement in the store's assortment, purchasing, and business development.
• Opportunity to work with advanced vision solutions, e.g., scleral lenses, binocular vision training, filter solutions, etc.

We have our own workshop which is a natural part of the business and contributes to the high quality and service we want to offer our customers. This means adjustments, repairs, and lens changes happen directly on-site, giving us control over the final result.
