About the Operations
Primary care is organized into 4 local care areas. Since January 2022, primary care and ambulance services have been integrated under "Good and Close Care." Each local care area is an economic unit led by a business manager. Primary care is also responsible for the region's healthcare advice, youth clinic, and the local care ward Näva, all of which are grant-funded. Within the primary care area, there is a good research climate and it has the status of a university healthcare unit. Our R&D unit can assist with support and scientific supervision, primarily in collaboration with Umeå University.
Zätagränd Health Centre is centrally located in Östersund and is a very well-functioning health centre with a high level of well-being and a good work environment! The unit is characterized by good collaboration between all professional categories and a positive attitude towards development work. The health centre is staffed with specialists, trainee doctors, district nurses, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries. There is also a rehab coordinator, dietitian, occupational therapist, physiotherapists, and a psychosocial unit. We have a popular family centre with a midwife clinic, child health services, social services, and an open preschool. We are over 60 employees and two unit managers who together care for approximately 13,000 registered patients.
