About the operations
Kiruna Ore Beneficiation's mission is to process ore from the mine to a finished product. The main parts of the process are crushing, concentrating, and pelletizing. The department consists of a total of eight sections, four of which are part of the main process and the other four are support sections within quality, technology and process development, material processes, and maintenance.

Your role
As a Field Mechanic here, you will become part of an engaged workplace consisting of both shift and day staff. You and your colleagues will primarily work with preventive and corrective maintenance of our concentrator and pellet plant. This involves working according to set maintenance plans, as well as improvement projects such as modifications and safety work. As a Field Mechanic, you will also work nights at all plants as an emergency response team for breakdowns and prioritized tasks. Due to this, the role requires significant initiative and high capacity as an independent mechanic. This is therefore a mechanic role beyond the ordinary.
Here you are part of a team with a major impact on daily operations, where your safety and well-being are the highest priority. At LKAB, you work with maintaining the company's largest production unit and thus have a significant impact on our results, all together with helpful and driven colleagues.
What you bring with you
As a Field Mechanic, there are very high demands on independent capacity regarding knowledge/experience as well as problem-solving. Collaboration is also of utmost importance as you work closely in partnership with colleagues.
- Upper secondary education with a mechanical focus or equivalent acquired competence is a requirement
- Category B driver's license is a requirement
- Fluent Swedish in speech and writing is a requirement
- Several years of experience in industrial work (meritorious)
- Professional experience in gas/electric welding (meritorious)
