Quality Engineer
As a Quality Engineer, you are a central part of the daily quality work. You drive and support quality-related issues in close collaboration with production, engineering, logistics, and other functions. The role involves responsibility for coordinating, following up on, and developing activities that ensure high quality throughout the entire operation.
You work proactively with improvements, communicate requirements and expectations both internally and externally, and contribute to a culture where continuous improvement and customer focus are a natural part of everyday life.
Your main responsibilities
- Ensure product quality and develop effective quality assurance methods
- Lead, coordinate, and drive quality and improvement work within production and operations
- Plan and conduct FMEA, control plans, and capability analyses
- Drive and coordinate deviation investigations according to the 8D methodology and ensure that corrective and preventive actions are implemented and followed up
- Participate in and conduct product and process audits
- Follow up on quality results, analyze data, and identify improvement opportunities
- Serve as a resource to the business in quality-related matters and contribute expert knowledge in the area

We would like you to have
- Experience of quality work in a production or manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of quality tools and methods such as 8D, CAPA, root cause analysis, and improvement work
- Experience of process development, process control, and improvement methods such as Lean or Six Sigma
- Understanding of quality management systems and standards, e.g., ISO 9001
- Experience of regulations for dangerous goods (ADR, IMDG, or equivalent)
- Experience of internal and external audits is an advantage
Technical skills
- Good knowledge of statistics and data analysis
- Experience with tools for process monitoring, e.g., SPC, Minitab, or similar
- Very good skills in Excel and other Office programs
- Experience with ERP, MES, or quality systems is an advantage
- Ability to work with, analyze, and follow up on KPIs
Other requirements
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent work experience
- Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
- Good knowledge of English
- Experience from the manufacturing industry or similar operations
- Valid driver's license (Category B)
The position may involve on-call duties or shift work depending on the needs of the business. Travel within Sweden and internationally may occur, which places demands on flexibility.
The position requires that you undergo and pass security clearance according to current regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
