Your role as Category Manager

As a Category Manager at Apotea, you will be a key person in our assortment and purchasing team. You will have overall responsibility for driving and developing your categories with the goal of creating a competitive assortment that meets both today's and tomorrow's customer needs.

In this role, you will work strategically and operationally with category management, assortment development, and supplier collaborations. You are responsible for developing category strategies, identifying short- and long-term activities, and ensuring that the assortment is relevant, competitive, and profitable. You will also identify new assortment opportunities and contribute to the development of EMV (Everyday Value) products.

A key part of the role is building strong and long-term supplier relationships. You will conduct complex negotiations, drive contract and commercial terms processes, and plan joint marketing activities and campaigns with suppliers to create growth and increased sales.

You are also responsible for follow-up and analysis within your categories. This includes, among other things, budget responsibility, KPI tracking, and working with sales targets, margins, cost savings, and assortment development.

We are looking for you who

Have a strong commercial understanding and are driven by creating results through strong supplier collaborations and an attractive assortment. You are confident in negotiations and have the ability to build good relationships both internally and externally.

We see that you have

• Extensive experience in purchasing, category management, assortment development, or a similar commercial role.
• Significant experience in complex negotiations, supplier management, and business development.
• Experience working with KPIs, sales targets, margins, and budget tracking.
• Analytical skills and experience working in a data-driven manner.
• A structured approach and the ability to drive both strategic and operational issues forward.

Meritorious

• Experience from e-commerce, retail, pharmacy, health, or FMCG is a plus.
