To our Purchasing department, we are now looking for a Strategic Buyer. Within the department in Karlskoga, 5 employees currently work in various purchasing roles; Strategic, Operational, and Project. In this role, you will be part of the group-wide purchasing team.

About the role

As a Strategic Buyer, you will primarily work with contract management related to technical purchases. You will work strategically with contract issues with the aim of creating stability, delivery security, and quality in the purchasing process.

You advocate for cost-effective contracts while continuously working to meet customer requirements.

The role also includes:

• Independently driving and developing the entire purchasing process in a business-like manner
• Ensuring that current contracts exist within your purchasing area
• Being responsible for ongoing contact with suppliers and conducting continuous follow-ups on both price and quality in current contracts
• Initiating and leading contract negotiations and writing contracts with suppliers, related to both products and the operation of our facilities
• Handling deviations, complaints, and insurance matters

About you

To succeed in the role of Strategic Buyer, we are looking for you who have a relevant educational background, likely in purchasing, Supply Chain, or Industrial Economics, or equivalent work experience in the purchasing field. You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing company.

We believe you have previously worked with negotiations and contract writing with both national and international customers, making you comfortable with the Swedish and English languages in both speech and writing.

Since the role involves many contacts, you have good relationship-building skills and appear in a professional and trustworthy manner.

We are also looking for someone who is analytical and structured, and who thrives on independently driving their own work to achieve set goals and deadlines.

It is an advantage if you have experience with:

• Contract law & procurement for construction projects
• Alternatively CAPEX and MRO procurement
• The business system SAP
• Technical purchasing and work within the industry
• Previous experience from larger projects and negotiations
