About the Role
Do you want a meaningful job where you can make a real difference for society and the energy transition? Here, you are part of a socially vital operation and will work on exciting projects, cutting-edge technology, and with colleagues who value each other.
Do you have experience leading complex infrastructure projects? Do you have knowledge of the various components of power systems? Are you a clear communicator who collaborates effectively? Then you might be the person we are looking for! Driving, developing, and building the electricity grid of the future requires a wide range of competencies. As we continue to grow, we are looking for new Project Managers.
We are seeking a Project Manager for substation and line projects within the 20–220 kV voltage range. You will be ultimately responsible for achieving set goals and overseeing the overall management of the project to ensure the right cost, quality, and timeline. This includes leading and coordinating projects, as well as communicating and representing Vattenfall's interests to other stakeholders such as authorities, municipalities, and contractors.
Your primary responsibilities include:

- Taking overall responsibility within the agreed project framework regarding economy, schedule, function, and quality.
- Monitoring and setting an example for safety work, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Creating and maintaining relationships with customers, consultants, and authorities externally, while collaborating internally with other functions within the company.
- Communicating and reporting project status to relevant stakeholders and ensuring they have the correct information.
- Developing procurement strategies in collaboration with the purchasing department.
- Monitoring forecasts and budget follow-ups for approved projects.
- Working proactively with calculations and risk management within the project.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who thrives in an independent role where you lead and engage others towards set goals and drive projects forward with high quality. You value relationship building and are accustomed to handling numerous contacts and varying demands from stakeholders, other grid companies, and authorities. Through your communication skills, you create clarity for all involved. You easily grasp the big picture and are used to planning and prioritizing in your daily work.
We believe you have a post-secondary education, preferably in energy, power systems, project management, economics, law, or relevant work experience. You have several years of experience in project management during the execution phase, as well as experience with projects within the power sector. Furthermore, you have:
- Knowledge of contract law (AB04/ABT06/ABK09).
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Valid driver's license (Class B).
The following qualifications are meritorious:
- Education in project management and/or electrical safety.
- Experience in project management within regional grids, infrastructure, or development.
- Experience working with other authorities regarding, for example, building permits, water and sewage, traffic safety issues, and/or permit issues.
- Experience working on the supplier side from a customer perspective.
- Experience in mentoring.
