Building and maintaining roads and infrastructure is a big task. Contributing to societal development is even bigger. With us, you get to do both. At Svevia, we are looking for another colleague for the role of Foreman, who together wants to be part of our responsibility for one of our base maintenance sites in Vetlanda. Within Svevia, we combine the small company's sense of community and team spirit with the stability of a large corporation. Here you have the opportunity to develop as a road specialist - with engagement, collaboration, and responsibility.

Your role as Foreman

As a Foreman, you will work with varied projects related to our base maintenance, with a focus on operation and maintenance work. In your role, you will be responsible for the entire process, from planning and resource allocation to implementation and follow-up of the work we perform. The role of Foreman does not include direct personnel responsibility; however, you play an important function for our professional employees and act as a coordinating contact for our subcontractors, as well as participating in construction meetings. Furthermore, you support the Site Manager in daily operations, such as customer contact, application of regulations, production control, economic follow-up, and invoicing documentation.

The position is full-time and you report to the Site Manager. The role includes both winter and summer on-call duties. At Svevia, we apply individual salary setting.

Who are you?

Your personality is important to us! As a Foreman, you are motivated by structure, order, and clarity. You also have good computer skills and take initiative to solve any problems that arise. Furthermore, you are confident and trustworthy. Making decisions comes naturally to you, and you value clear communication at all levels. You have a business-minded approach with a focus on profitability, and you have the ability to create good collaborations with customers and employees. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities in this recruitment process.

Requirements for the role:

  • Good computer skills and comfortable working with digital tools and systems

  • Category B driver's license

  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

If you have previous experience in the industry or have a relevant post-secondary education, it is meritorious.

Part of something bigger

Svevia is today Sweden's largest operation contractor. Within operation and maintenance, we handle, among other things, summer and winter road maintenance for half of the state's road network. And many municipalities, private companies, and road associations hire us to take care of their roads and outdoor environments.

With us, you contribute to a larger whole. We plow for the family heading to the mountains. We ensure that business goods transports arrive safely and ensure that streets, squares, and parks are clean and tidy. Furthermore, we protect lives on the road through our offerings in traffic safety devices.

Why Svevia?

Based on Svevia's strategies, goals, and values, you get the prerequisites needed to make a difference and contribute to the company's development. Decision paths are short, it is easy to influence and have your voice heard. And with us, leadership is in focus, which means you continuously get the opportunity to develop in your role.

We care about being a workplace for everyone. Leading through your employees is seen as a matter of course. It is as a team that we create success. This is how we do business and generate results. This is how we make cities and the countryside function. Do you want to share the road with us?
