Your new job

As a Project Manager, you will be offered varied and stimulating tasks. You will work at the Land and Development Department, which has overall responsibility for land and housing supply issues in the municipality. We participate in the entire community building process, from initiation to implementation, where we, among other things, buy and sell land and draw up property-related agreements.

In the role placed within the Development operations, you are responsible for driving projects in the implementation phase. You collaborate with other case handlers during the detailed planning phase, monitor implementation issues in contract negotiations, and prepare calculations and budget foundations.

Your main task is to plan and procure consultants and contractors, as well as to develop sustainable and attractive land infrastructure in development areas. This includes, for example, the expansion of streets, utilities, and new city districts, as well as participating in larger development projects where you contribute to the development of streets, squares, and parks. The work also involves contact with businesses and citizens, conducting negotiations, and acting as the client in projects with ongoing economic discussions.

You will belong to a team of 12 employees with different focuses, primarily land and development engineers as well as project managers. The work is carried out independently with support from engaged colleagues with broad experience. The role also includes leading dialogues in various forums and presenting information to different target groups, which requires you to feel confident speaking in front of groups.

We are looking for you who have a special interest in development and contracting. You are positive and self-assured, and have good knowledge of relevant legislation, project management, and a strong economic awareness.

Your qualifications

Requirements:

• University education in road and water construction or similar, or alternatively several years of relevant working experience that the employer deems equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in project or construction management within infrastructure or development.
• Good knowledge of contract law and good economic understanding.
• Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
• Category B driver's license.

Merits:

• Experience in the client role for land contracts within the public sector.
• Knowledge of the Public Procurement Act (LOU) and the Planning and Building Act.
• Experience in negotiations and writing orders and/or contracts.
• Experience in interpreting and analyzing legal texts.
• Experience working in a politically governed organization.
