Eksjö District Court

Every day, hundreds of cases and matters are decided in the courts throughout Sweden. Our organization consists of employees with various competencies, each of whom is significant in maintaining legal certainty and high quality at all levels.

About Eksjö District Court

Eksjö District Court is an open and development-oriented workplace with dedicated employees. We currently have around 25 employees, and the court has a judicial unit and an administrative unit. The workplace is characterized by close collaboration among employees.

We handle approximately 2,500 cases and matters per year. The court is associated with just over 45 lay judges. The court's jurisdiction covers the municipalities of Eksjö, Vetlanda, Nässjö, Sävsjö, Aneby, and Tranås.

Together with other courts in the country, the district court forms the foundation of the judicial system and is a cornerstone of democratic society.

Main Responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping our internal environment clean, fresh, and pleasant. The assignment includes cleaning the court's office premises, kitchen and break areas, toilets, hearing rooms, common areas, etc.

Your duties involve independently planning and carrying out daily cleaning, wiping down surfaces, and emptying trash, as well as generally caring for the court's internal environment. You will also work together with the chief administrator and the security guard to plan and prepare for occasional deep cleaning (e.g., major window washing and floor care). Duties within the administrative unit also include receiving visitors, restocking materials, and some other internal maintenance. Other service-related tasks may also occur.

The work is autonomous and flexible with significant responsibility and involves many contacts with employees and other actors at the court, as well as the general public. The work requires great respect for the court's function and operations and a high level of security awareness. Well-functioning and fresh premises are a prerequisite for the court's operations. Together with the court's other employees, you will work to ensure that the court maintains a high service level and can perform its socially important function in a good way.

Based on the needs of the operations, working hours are fixed at six hours per workday, 06:30-13:00, including a thirty-minute break. The position will begin with a probationary period.

Qualifications

You need to have upper secondary education or equivalent training. You are service-oriented, flexible, solution-oriented, and smooth in your relations with others. As a person, you should also be careful and efficient. You are not afraid to get your hands dirty or to take personal responsibility in your work. The work requires good physical fitness in the form of strength and mobility. You are proactive, practical, and ensure that things get done.

You have a good ability to plan your work and your area of responsibility yourself so that the result becomes the best! The work requires that you are flexible and adapt easily and enjoy changing focus. You are also a good colleague who sees yourself as a resource even for others' areas of work if the situation requires this. You place great value on delivering a good result in your work and want to be an active part of the court's operations.

To manage the work, knowledge of Swedish and otherwise good communication skills are required to be able to communicate with colleagues and visitors at the court. Since you will work in a smaller organization where local resources have a very important function for the operations, you also need to have very good cooperation skills.

Since the position assumes that you quickly get into the tasks and good cooperation, decisive weight will be placed on personal qualities.

We may work with ongoing selection and interviews, so you are welcome to submit your application today!

To ensure an inclusive and fair recruitment process, the Swedish Courts apply competency-based recruitment. Our selection is based on the candidates' competencies and merits.

We kindly but firmly decline direct contact with staffing and recruitment firms as well as sellers of additional job advertisements.
