After School Care Teacher at Duved School in Åre

Do you want to work in a unique environment where mountains, nature, and outdoor life become a natural part of the students' learning? We are now looking for an enthusiastic after-school care teacher for Duved School in Åre Municipality!

Duved School, inaugurated in 2022, is a modern wooden building located near forests, mountains, and water. Approximately 570 students in grades F–9 attend the school, which has around 80 staff members. The school has a high level of teacher qualifications, and students achieve good academic results.

Our vision is to create a school environment where good relationships are at the center. Through security and calm, students get the best possible conditions to develop – both academically and socially.

The school has a clear mountain profile with a focus on:

• Outdoor life, skiing, and mountain tours

We want our students to feel proud of their home region and understand the value of the mountainous environment.

Job Responsibilities

Here, you will help create a meaningful and inspiring after-school care activity where teaching is based on the students' needs, interests, and curiosity, while simultaneously challenging them to new discoveries. With the mountains at your doorstep, we actively work with outdoor life as part of the learning process.

You will:

• Develop the quality of the pedagogical work together with the team
• Contribute to the school's development work
• Create varied learning environments where care, movement, and learning interact
• Inspire students to activity, creativity, and community

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified after-school care teacher. If you also have subject-specific qualifications, we consider it a great advantage.

To thrive in this role, we believe you need to work according to a clear process, organize and plan your work well, complete what is started, and meet deadlines. You handle stress constructively, maintain a good mood under pressure and setbacks. You easily put yourself in others' situations, listen, understand, and show consideration. Employment Terms

Type of employment: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: By agreement.
