About the Role We are looking for senior Research and Development Engineers to join our development team at Lindholmen in Gothenburg.
In this role, you will work on the research and development of test equipment, test methodology, and test environments supported by next-generation emergency services communication, as well as future connected and automated transport systems. The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues, customers, authorities, and other external stakeholders.
Your work will primarily take place at the development office on Lindholmen, with flexibility to work some time from home. Some activities are also based at our test track outside of Borås. Occasional travel may be required.
Who are you? As a person, you are driven, proactive, and skilled at building trusting relationships. You have strong collaboration skills and thrive when working with both internal and external stakeholders. Furthermore, you are communicative and able to convey complex technical issues clearly.
Requirements
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Strong technical background with several years of professional experience in at least one of the following areas: IT system integration, software development, or testing.
- Several years of professional experience in telecommunications, e.g., 4G/5G core networks, radio, OSS/BSS, or mission-critical communication services such as MCX.
- Practical experience from working in the telecom industry with an understanding of technical solutions, development processes, and systems related to connectivity and communication.
- Professional experience in software development using C++ and Python.
- Practical experience in developing, using, or analyzing models and simulations of technical systems.
- Valid Swedish driver's license, category B or higher.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, along with basic knowledge of Swedish and a willingness to continue learning and developing the language.
Merits
- Experience with configuration/integration of 4G/5G core networks.
- Experience with emergency services communication/technology, e.g., TETRA or MCX over 4G/5G.
- Experience in a team-leading role with responsibility for test or design leadership.
- Experience as a system architect in large-scale development or system integration projects, including handling requirements gathering and overall design.
- Experience from the automotive sector is a plus, especially in connected and data-driven systems.
- Experience with drone technology and autonomous systems.
- Experience contributing to scientific publications and publishing in relevant areas.
- Experience with AI and Big Data.
