About the role

We are looking for a Senior C++ Developer with extensive experience in embedded real-time systems to join our office in Gothenburg. The role involves working with advanced, safety-critical systems and modern high-performance technology within the defense industry. You will play a strategically important role in shaping technical solutions, influencing architectural choices, and ensuring robust system platforms.

In this role, you will play a key part in:

• Architecture, design, and optimization of advanced embedded real-time systems based on modern C++ standards and hardware-centric platforms.
• Technical leadership throughout the entire development chain, from system analysis and design decisions to implementation, integration, and performance validation.
• Advanced debugging and root-cause analysis in complex, safety-critical, and resource-constrained environments.
• Serving as a technical mentor and reference person within the team, driving best practices, code quality, architectural principles, and long-term technical direction.

Your profile

• 10+ years of experience with modern C++ (C++14/17/20) in advanced embedded real-time and hardware-centric systems.
• Proven ability to work with system architecture, low-level optimization, memory modeling, and concurrency.
• Deep expertise in Linux embedded/Yocto, driver development, and/or advanced RTOS environments.
• Extensive experience working with large-scale systems, complex integration chains, and technical decisions at the system level.
• Experience with CI/CD environments and tools (Jenkins, Git, Artifactory), Python for automation and system testing, and a background in safety-critical domains with high demands for traceability, robustness, and determinism is considered an asset. Additionally, experience with system architecture, modeling, technical strategy, or technical leadership is a significant plus.

Note: This position requires Swedish citizenship and is security classified, meaning a security clearance check will be conducted according to Swedish legislation.
