Located just 20 minutes from Gothenburg, Lerum is currently in a period of intense development with many exciting projects underway, ranging from schools to housing. The municipality works to ensure good service, high welfare, and a thriving business climate.

Dagens Samhälle named Lerum the winner in the category of large municipalities (2025) - an award based on a comprehensive comparison of 290 Swedish municipalities in areas such as education, healthcare and social care, economy, culture and leisure, attractiveness, business life, and future factors like digitalization and civil preparedness. About the Water and Wastewater Unit

The Water and Wastewater (VA) unit is responsible for the municipal water and wastewater operations in Lerum Municipality. This involves the production and distribution of drinking water as well as the diversion and treatment of wastewater for approximately 33,000 people. The VA unit has just over 45 employees and is thus a medium-sized organization, divided into three units: VA Production, VA Distribution, and VA Planning.

VA Production is responsible for all facilities such as waterworks, treatment plants, pumping stations, pressure boosting stations, and reservoirs. Our mission is to produce and deliver healthy drinking water of high quality with high delivery security. We aim to divert wastewater with the least possible impact on health and the environment. We work for satisfied customers and a sustainable society.

We are 14 people in the unit, sharing offices and operating from Stenkullen together with the entire Technical Service department.

We are now looking to strengthen our team with an additional Drift Technician within VA to secure the operations of the business.
