Role and Responsibilities

In the role of Systems Engineer, you work with the operation, management, and further development of our IT and OT environments. You implement technical solutions that create business value and contribute to a stable, secure, and modern IT platform. We are facing a long-term security upgrade, including compliance with the Cyber Resilience Act (NIS2), which means that security is a natural and important part of daily work. You are a key part of the organization's long-term digitalization journey, focusing on securing, developing, and modernizing sustainable water and wastewater solutions across our four municipalities. The work is varied and close to operations, with a focus on production-oriented systems (OT), while maintaining a stable IT operation environment.

Examples of tasks:

• Operation and management of Windows-based server and client environments
• Development and management of the Microsoft 365 environment
• Work with virtualization (Hyper-V) and hybrid solutions
• Networking and communication related to production-oriented systems (OT)
• Contribute to improvements in IT and information security, structure, and automation
• Participate in both smaller improvement initiatives and larger development projects

Your Background and Experience

We are looking for you who thrive in a broad and responsible role as a Systems Engineer, where you have the opportunity to combine operational work with development and continuous improvements. You have a post-secondary education in a relevant field and/or several years of experience working as a Systems Engineer or in a similar role. We also appreciate that you have a good understanding of IT security.

To succeed in the role, you have good knowledge of:

• Windows Server
• Microsoft 365
• Networking
• Device Management

It is an extra advantage if you also have knowledge of:

• BI and data-driven analysis
• AI and automation
• Integration solutions

As a person, you are analytical, structured, and take great responsibility for your work. You are driven by the desire to improve and simplify, as well as to build long-term sustainable solutions. You are solution-oriented and curious, with good ability to collaborate and communicate with both technical and non-technical colleagues. Furthermore, you have the ability to translate business needs into well-functioning technical solutions. You are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written, and hold a valid driver's license (Category B).

Skåne Blekinge Vattentjänst AB (SBVT)

SBVT is a joint operating company responsible for operating water and wastewater facilities in Bromölla, Olofström, Osby, and Östra Göinge. SBVT is owned by Bromölla Energi & Vatten AB, Olofströms Kraft AB, Osby Municipality, and Östra Göinge Municipality. Together, the four municipalities have a population of over 52,000, and approximately 15,000 customers/households are connected to the water and wastewater facilities managed by SBVT. This includes, in addition to over 180 km of water and wastewater pipelines, 16 water treatment plants and 15 wastewater treatment plants. SBVT currently has approximately 60 employees and an annual turnover of approximately 280 million SEK. The purpose of the company is to have an efficient, competent, and sustainable organization for operating the owners' respective water and wastewater facilities – for the benefit of our water and wastewater subscribers. The company is headquartered in Bromölla.
