About the position

Almby Home Care is one of the largest home care units in Örebro Municipality. As an assistant nurse with us, you have a coordinated responsibility where you plan, carry out, and follow up on daily work. You will have a team of about 30 colleagues who make contributions, big and small, in our customers' lives every day. Some have extensive care needs, while others need help with simpler daily tasks. Regardless of the need, we always start from the individual, with care and respect.

We work in a rehabilitative manner and utilize each person's own abilities. You will become part of a team consisting of assistant nurses, nurses, and occupational therapists, where you have an independent but supportive role. Much of our work is done by bicycle, but we also have a car group. We are growing and now seeking more employees to meet the increased demand in the area. Examples of tasks:

• provide personal care and service based on the customer's individual needs
• perform service tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc.
• create and follow implementation plans together with the customer
• collaborate with assistant nurses, occupational therapists, nurses, and relatives based on the customer's needs
• document regularly in the organization's documentation system and review existing documentation
• work together with the rest of the work group to develop methods and approaches within home care
• have knowledge of and follow the organization's current laws, policies, and routines

About the workplace

We are based at Landbotorpsallén in Ladugårdsängen and work in the areas of Ladugårdsängen, Sörby, Sörbyängen, parts of Almby, as well as Ekeby-Almby. We also have close cooperation with Marka Home Care.

The Care and Support area is part of the Social Services Administration. The operations include care and support, preventive activities, authority functions in the area, as well as housing placement and home modifications. Within the Care and Support area, we work to support and help people who need care, support, or assistance in their daily lives.

Qualifications

As an assistant nurse with us, you are a secure and stable person. You have the ability to meet customers in a professional manner by being calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions. Being responsible for your tasks is second nature to you. You cooperate well with others and relate to them in a listening and smooth manner. Furthermore, you have a positive view of people with great respect for each individual's needs. Additionally, you adapt easily to changed circumstances and see opportunities in changes. You master the Swedish language to such an extent that you can communicate with the customer and other staff, as well as document in writing what the organization requires. Since the work involves digital documentation in the organization's system, good computer skills are required.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• certificate of protected professional title, or alternatively covered by transitional rules (permanent assistant nurse as of July 1, 2023)
• ability to cycle

Working hours: Day, evening, and every other weekend. There are schedule rows with primarily day shifts, and schedule rows with primarily evening shifts.

Other information

As of July 1, 2023, "assistant nurse" is a protected professional title. This means you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to be employed as an assistant nurse. While waiting for your certificate, it is possible to be employed as a care aide. However, if you had a permanent position as an assistant nurse on July 1, 2023, you may continue to use the title.
