Job Responsibilities

Dalsätra is a special housing facility with 20 apartments located in Myrviken, close to nature and within walking distance to shops and the bus stop. Special housing is a form of residence for elderly people who have a comprehensive need for care and support around the clock, and can no longer live in their own homes. Nursing staff is available at the residences in the municipality around the clock, with a daily rehabilitation approach. The work should be characterized by a holistic view, respect, and engagement.

As a nursing assistant/care aide at Dalsätra, you are part of a competent work group. You work with providing care and social support to our residents and users who need help to manage their daily lives. Our work is based on the individual's needs and wishes, where dialogue and collaboration are important tools to achieve high-quality care and support. By working with us, you contribute to creating an environment for the individual characterized by community, togetherness, participation, and activity.

The tasks consist of helping people with, for example: hygiene, dressing, and cleaning, as well as supporting during meals. Tasks delegated by licensed health care personnel may also occur. Collaboration is a very important part of your workday, and you work together with your closest colleagues and health care personnel for the individual. The tasks also include documentation and contact with relatives.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have previous experience from work in elderly care and/or healthcare. Education as a nursing assistant is meritorious. Communication and documentation are important tools in the work, which requires that you have good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing.

Bergs Municipality is a Sami administrative municipality, and we therefore consider it meritorious if you have knowledge of South Sami language and culture.

To fit the role as a nursing assistant/care aide with us, you need to be good at communicating and have a constructive and empathetic approach. Furthermore, we would like you to be engaged and involved in developing our operations. You are good at collaborating, are creative, and take initiative for activities for the residents.

Bergs Municipality applies HÖK/AB (general terms) to the position. We apply individual salary setting. For this position, the current entry salary range is 23,638 – 30,590 SEK per month, depending on your previous experience and competence.
