Many of us find satisfaction in the knowledge that our work contributes to making the world a better place.

As a Nordic global leader in sustainable steel, Ovako is not just a workplace; it is a community shaping a better future. Be a catalyst for positive change at Ovako.

In our long-term effort to find the right people for our operations at Ovako in Hällefors, we are now seeking Industrial Apprentices. As an apprentice at Ovako, you will be assigned an apprentice supervisor who ensures you get started in the job. Together with your supervisor and management, you will have scheduled follow-ups to ensure you receive the training and skills you need during the 10-month apprenticeship period.

During the Industrial Apprenticeship period, you will be employed on a fixed-term basis, after which there may be an opportunity for permanent employment. The number of apprenticeships is linked to the number of retirements we anticipate in the coming years.

Industrial apprenticeship positions may be available throughout our manufacturing process or within maintenance. For apprenticeships leading to operator or mechanic roles, a basic school education is required, while a high school education is meritorious. For apprenticeships leading to electrician roles, we require a 3-year high school education, preferably with a focus on electrical technology.

We require applicants to be at least 18 years old. A Category B driver's license is meritorious.
