Specialist Psychiatry for Children, Youth and Adults provides knowledge-based and specialized psychiatric care in collaboration with the patient, relatives, and other healthcare providers within and outside Region Kronoberg. The operations are organized into different units where staff work based on integrated teams, outpatient care, and inpatient care, following the patient throughout the entire care chain. Our mission is to provide specialist psychiatry for patients with serious mental illness, complex problems, and often comorbidity. We want to create good conditions for our patients to receive effective treatment with the best possible competence, leading to improvements for the patient.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your role is to strengthen the patient's independence together with the entire work group, focus on health, and strive for the absolute best result at every admission. In this work, you have a leadership role. The ward is organized into care teams. Staff in inpatient and outpatient care collaborate closely to maintain continuity for the patient during and after the care period. Nurses and care assistants in the care team plan and organize care together with the patient, maintain contact with relatives and any other healthcare providers. In addition, you will work with routine tasks such as medication management, documentation, sampling, etc.

We work in a multidisciplinary manner. You will work with nurses, care assistants, doctors, social workers, etc. We work in teams on the ward but also between wards if necessary.

The position also includes being part of the staffing on our treatment ward where ECT treatment is performed.

The position involves rotational duties, but night shifts are not currently available, along with every fourth weekend.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse, preferably with further education in psychiatry. We are looking for you who are confident in your nursing role, have experience from different parts of healthcare, and work with high trust, both in yourself and others.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Duration: Permanent, start: Start date according to agreement.
Working hours: Currently, working hours for nurses are scheduled only for days, evenings, and every fourth weekend.
