RESPONSIBILITIES

The Care Administration in Växjö Municipality is one of the largest workplaces in the municipality, with approximately 2,000 employees. Our mission is to provide good care and support to our elderly residents and people with disabilities, making their daily lives both important and meaningful. We are now looking for you who are a registered nurse and want to become part of the nursing unit in Växjö Municipality. You will work at our special housing facility in Braås, where we together create a secure and meaningful daily life for the elderly. The work involves responsibility and variety, and you will always have support from colleagues as well as opportunities to develop in your professional role.

As a nurse, you play a central role in ensuring safe, high-quality care. You work daytime hours and currently every fifth weekend. In your role, you combine independent responsibility for patients' health and medical care with mentoring nursing staff and collaborating with other professions.

Your responsibilities include:

• Taking responsibility for patients' health and medical care, including medication management.
• Mentoring and supporting nursing staff in their daily work.
• Documenting according to current routines and legislation.
• Collaborating with various professions, relatives, and colleagues to create cohesive and person-centered care.
• Contributing to development and quality work within the operation to promote a good and safe care environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse and have a genuine interest in working with the elderly. You are confident in your professional role, can make independent decisions, and enjoy taking responsibility. You communicate clearly, collaborate well with others, and have a desire to continue developing in your profession while contributing to raising the quality of care.

Requirements

• Registration as a nurse.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Good computer skills and ability to document according to current routines.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).

Merits

• Experience from working in elderly care.
• Specialized education, for example as a district nurse.

In the event of employment, we will:

• Request extracts from the criminal record register to verify own entries in the register/individual person (442.3) according to Section 9, Paragraph 1. Orders for extracts can be placed via the police website.
• Check for a valid passport or work permit.
• Conduct register checks with IVO (The Swedish Health and Care Professionals Agency) and HOSP.
