The Market Workshop Unit (MvE), with the Traffic Worthiness Division (TrfV), is a unit within the Army Staff that performs traffic worthiness and functional controls with status assessment on the Swedish Armed Forces' land-based vehicles, air base equipment, and delivers technical system support.
TrfV has approx. 120 employees and operates throughout the country.
Main Tasks
The work mainly consists of performing traffic worthiness and functional controls with status assessment (Basic Inspection) on the Swedish Armed Forces' vehicles and vehicle systems, thereby contributing to ensuring availability with high quality, functionality, and a good working environment. The focus is on heavier wheeled vehicle systems. The work takes place at our fixed control stations but also at other locations and sites both nationally and internationally where the Swedish Armed Forces operate. Travel is frequent.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- At least completed two- or three-year automotive technical education with a focus on automotive mechanic. Other technical education or competence acquired through professional experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.
- A few years of working life experience, preferably as a vehicle inspector or automotive mechanic
- Knowledge of the MS Office package, preferably Excel and Word
- At least driver's license category C
- Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written

- Swedish Armed Forces mechanic training
- Knowledge and experience of working with status assessment on vehicles
- Knowledge and experience of working in support systems such as SAP
- Completed conscription training
