The Section's Mission
Within the unit's area of responsibility, there are products and building blocks related to capabilities in HR, IT process support, and control of job seekers.
The IT Basic Control section supports the Swedish Public Employment Service's control mission. We consist of an IT product that ensures the technical capability to monitor that job seekers meet the conditions for benefits. The conditions and controls aim to stimulate job search activity, reduce unemployment duration, facilitate employers' ability to find labor, increase employment, and prevent incorrect payments.
Job Description
In the role of developer, you will work both independently and together with your colleagues in one of our agile teams. We use parts of the agile framework SAFe. The work takes place in a technical environment with many system integrations in a modern IT landscape.
The following tasks will be part of your daily work:
Your tasks will include requirements specification, configuration, development, and testing of solutions.
You will collaborate closely with your team to discuss ideas, provide support, and develop smart solutions. You will ensure that development follows our design principles and guidelines, and maintain close dialogue with users and other stakeholders. We appreciate that you enjoy solving complex, exciting challenges and have a curious approach.
We are looking for someone who is engaged, structured, and receptive. You have an agile and solution-oriented working style, are meticulous, and take responsibility for your deliverables. You have a drive to get things done, are flexible, and can adapt to changes.

The position is a permanent full-time employment that may begin with a six-month probation period. The location is Solna.

Basic Requirements for the Position
- Approved university/college education with an IT focus
- Current experience in development with Java 17 or 21
- Experience with SpringBoot or Quarkus
- Experience working with REST/JMS/SQL/Kubernetes
- Experience with test-driven development
- Fluent Swedish in speech and writing
Additional Merits for the Position
- Experience working with OracleDB / OpenShift / Tekton / ActiveMQ Artemis
- Worked with incident management and monitoring of live systems
- Experience from working in the public sector
