As an operator at the 135th Security Squadron, you will work within military security services, focusing on the collection of security intelligence aimed at indicating and identifying suspected security threats to the Swedish Armed Forces' protected assets.

In this position, you will work on a highly relevant task with a constantly changing threat landscape. The work is long-term and conducted with high discretion. As a person, you should be patient, results-oriented, and possess a high capacity for creative thinking.

We are looking for an SO6-7 for this position, but if you are a driven OR4-5 with relevant experience and have your sights set on becoming an SOU (Officer Candidate) in the near future, we also encourage you to apply.

Main Responsibilities

The daily work is varied and includes everything from training and education to the execution of operational activities. A key part of the role is also the development of operations within your future area of responsibility.

As a communications operator, you are responsible for supporting the operational units during operations regarding communications equipment and how it should be utilized. Furthermore, you are responsible for the development and training within the communications service at the unit.

Since you will handle security-classified information in this role and the work as a whole is subject to significant confidentiality, we look for someone with high personal maturity and strong integrity who is not driven by a need for external validation.

Requirements

  • Experience and education in communications and command systems
  • Completed and approved military basic training
  • Category B driver's license
  • Swedish citizenship
  • Passed and approved results in accordance with FMFysS (Swedish Armed Forces Physical Fitness Standard)
  • No allergy to fur or mild allergy when medicated
  • Approved result on selection tests after a holistic assessment

Desirable Qualifications

  • Officer degree
  • Experience and education in covert collection in terrain and urban environments
  • Work in security units or intelligence services in the Swedish Armed Forces or similar organizations
  • Completed and approved military police training
  • Experience from national/international missions

The Life Guards (Livgardet) is one of the Swedish Armed Forces' largest units, with roots dating back to 1521. We train tomorrow's soldiers, as well as military police and personnel for international missions. We guard the royal castles, we have security and ground combat units. We are also responsible for preserving and developing the Swedish military music tradition. Our headquarters are in Kungsängen outside Stockholm, but we are also located in Sollentuna, central Stockholm, Uppsala, Gothenburg, and Karlskrona.

An employment with us involves placement in a security class. Swedish citizenship is usually required.
