Do you want to make a real difference – every day?
As the Responsible Nurse (MAS) in Falu Municipality, you will play a key role in creating safe, secure, and high-quality care for our residents. You will become part of the Quality Unit within the Social Care Administration – an engaged team where specialist competencies collaborate to develop sustainable working methods and strengthen operations.
Here, you will not only have clear responsibilities but also excellent opportunities to support managers and operations in their daily work.
Responsibilities
In the role of MAS, you have overall responsibility for quality and patient safety within the social care committee's operations. You work based on legislation, regulations, and policy documents, ensuring that clear and functional routines exist – for example, in medication management, record keeping, and delegation.
An important part of the assignment is to:
- follow up on operations through reviews, analyses, and internal controls
- handle deviations and identify risk areas
- initiate and follow up on measures that strengthen patient safety
- lead and process investigations according to Lex Maria
You have the mandate to make decisions within your area and to set demands when deficiencies are discovered – but you do so with a developmental and supportive approach.
A role with both responsibility and supportive power!
As MAS, you are also an important partner and advisor to the operations.
You:
- guide in nursing and patient safety issues
- contribute to making laws and guidelines understandable and possible to implement in practice
- support managers and employees in developing safe and sustainable working methods
- create dialogue, understanding, and engagement regarding quality and safety
Through your working style, you build trust and contribute to a culture where learning and development are a natural part of everyday life.
Your context:
You are located at the Quality Unit and work closely with functions such as MAR (Medication Administration Record), SAS (Social and Health Care), dietitian, and dementia nurse. Together, you create structure, consensus, and quality throughout the operations.
You also collaborate with the Section Chief for the Health and Medical Care Section (operations manager according to HSL). The unit is in development – which gives you the opportunity to influence, develop, and shape future working methods.
Here you get:
- strong collegial support
- a cross-professional context
- the opportunity to make a real impact

Requirements for the role:
- Registration as a nurse
- Several years of work experience that the employer deems relevant
- Good knowledge of laws and regulations within health and medical care
- Experience in investigative work

You:
- collaborate without hierarchy and contribute to the whole
- are structured and methodical in your working style
- combine clear demands with a supportive and developmental approach
