About the position
As a Lead Installer at Västanfors Steel Structures, you will become a key person in our installation team, primarily operating in Central Sweden. You lead the work on-site in our construction projects – while also participating in the daily practical installation work yourself. The role involves close collaboration with both the installation management and the responsible designer, ensuring that every project is carried out in the best possible way. You will be based from your home somewhere in Central Sweden.

Your main responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate the installation on-site
• Actively work in the installation together with your team
• Represent Västanfors towards customers and suppliers
• Participate in construction meetings
• Perform self-inspections according to current quality and safety routines

Since we have large parts of Sweden as our workplace, you need to enjoy traveling and living away from home during work weeks. We usually work Monday to Thursday until 15:00, but this may vary depending on the project. The position is a permanent employment starting as soon as possible, employed directly by Västanfors Steel Structures.

About you
We are looking for you who has experience in construction work or similar, preferably with a background in prefabrication or steel structures, and who sees your future in the construction industry. If you have previously tried an supervisory role, we see it as a plus, but it is not a requirement to apply for the position. Most importantly, you have a good understanding of the construction industry, hold a B-driver's license, and are a person we can trust.

To thrive in the role, you need to be solution-oriented and see opportunities where others see obstacles. You like having things to do, work carefully, and have the ability to take responsibility – both for the quality of your work and for safety on the job site. Good planning skills and foresight are also important traits as the work often requires flexibility and structure.

You are used to working in teams and contribute energy and well-being to the group. Since our projects largely consist of steel, prefabrication, and sheet metal, it is an advantage if you have experience with welding, simpler sheet metal work, or have operated lifts and telehandlers. If you have training such as "Safe Lifting", "BAM", "Fall Protection", "Hot Work", or similar, it is an extra plus.
