Bergs Municipality is investing in municipal rehabilitation and is therefore now looking for a driven and engaged occupational therapist to join our team. We are looking for you who are driven by varied work, are development- and solution-focused, and want to work to ensure that every individual is given the opportunity for as active, independent, and participatory life as possible.

Job Responsibilities

With the investment in municipal rehabilitation, the operations will expand with one additional occupational therapist. As an occupational therapist within municipal rehabilitation, you are part of a team centered around the individual and work according to our routines and processes. The work group currently consists of two occupational therapists, three physiotherapists, a rehabilitation assistant, and a supply manager for assistive devices focused on the operations. In connection with the expansion, the work group will consist of three occupational therapists and three physiotherapists. Here, you work in a team together with a physiotherapist within a geographical area. The municipality is divided into three areas – North, Central, and South – where you, together with a physiotherapist, are responsible for one area.

Our patients are individuals who receive home healthcare in their own homes, live under the LSS act (Act for Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), have personal assistance, stay in short-term care, or live in special housing. A large part of the work involves conducting individual activity assessments, designing and implementing rehabilitation measures, and prescribing medical technical aids. The work also includes supervision and instruction for the individual, relatives, and students, as well as training staff in daily life rehabilitation and assistive device management.

In addition to working together with a physiotherapist, you work with other professions such as nurses, district nurses, social secretaries, and unit managers. There are access to cars belonging to municipal rehabilitation in the different areas, which facilitates daily work.

Qualifications

The position requires that you are a licensed occupational therapist. Experience of working within municipal rehabilitation operations is meritorious. Given the many contacts the role entails, as well as our documentation requirements, your knowledge of the Swedish language must be very good (both oral and written). A driver's license for passenger cars (Category B) is a requirement.

Bergs Municipality is a Sami administrative municipality, and we therefore consider it meritorious if you have knowledge of the Southern Sami language and culture.

Since the work involves contact with people in different life situations, it is important that you have a positive attitude and a constructive approach. You also need to be flexible and have good planning and collaboration skills. Furthermore, you enjoy working salutogenically and are good at seeing possibilities and solutions in your daily life. The ability to work both independently and in a team is also necessary.

Bergs Municipality applies HÖK/AB (general terms) to the position. We apply individual salary setting. For this position, the current entry salary range is 35,000 - 42,000 SEK per month, depending on your previous experience and competence.
