Description

The catering department prepares meals for our children in preschool, students in school, and customers within care services. Our goal is to develop the menu and cook delicious, nutritious, and varied meals made from scratch.

We see an increasing need for temporary staff within the catering department and wish to strengthen this part of our team. Therefore, we are now looking for you who are trained in kitchen and restaurant operations or have documented experience in the culinary profession – and who can independently take responsibility for cooking in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

As a cook in our temporary staff pool, you may work in one of our 18 kitchens within Sunne Municipality, with varying tasks. The role requires you to be self-sufficient and confident in your role as a cook, as you may need to work alone in the kitchen when necessary.

You should have good knowledge of the laws and regulations governing the operation, such as food legislation and self-control procedures.

An important part of the job is the ability to plan and prepare special diets, as the need for this is increasing, including special diets for allergies and medical needs such as diabetes.

You actively participate in kitchen work and contribute together with colleagues to the development and quality of the meals. You are passionate about good and sustainable meals where your creativity contributes to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a cook at the upper secondary level or have other education that the employer considers equivalent. Documented experience of at least 1 year of work is also a requirement.

You have a strong interest in preparing good and nutritious meals for our guests, independently and from scratch.

You have knowledge and experience in preparing special diets, including allergy-friendly food and medically adapted diets such as diabetic meals. Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both oral and written, is required as the work involves documentation such as self-control records. You should be proficient in computer use.

As a person, you are structured and self-sufficient, have good ability to prioritize and plan your work, and are easy to collaborate with. You should share the school's value base and find joy in working with young people. You are service-oriented, have a positive mindset, and are flexible, creative, and eager to show good results.

Conditions

Valid B-class driver's license. Interviews may take place continuously during the application period.
