We are looking for dedicated care assistants for the resource team in the Elderly and Care Services

We are continuing to build up our resource team within the Elderly and Care Services and are now looking for more dedicated care assistants who want to be a secure and flexible resource in our operations. The resource team exists to ensure that there is always competent staff available during short-term absences, and you will become an important part of a team that makes a real difference!

Job Responsibilities

As a care assistant in the resource team, you work as a short-term and long-term substitute across several different operations, for example:

• Home care
• Care and nursing homes
• Group homes and service apartments
• Short-term care for children and young people
• Personal assistance
• Daytime activities

You will become a familiar and appreciated face in the operations, contributing security, experience, and competence.

Key responsibilities include:

• Personal care such as body care, meal support, transfers, and communication
• Healthcare tasks delegated to you
• Observation and reporting of changes in health status
• Participation in daily chores, activities, and social interaction

The work involves varying hours. We plan the schedules together before each period, so there are good opportunities to influence this. In your application, you will describe which hours you are available to work.

Our workplace is located at Drottninggatan 1 in central Mariestad.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a completed care education, preferably with the protected title of care assistant
• Alternatively, has other relevant education, e.g., Child and Youth Program
• Preferably has experience from both elderly care and disability support
• Has good care knowledge and preferably experience with low-affective handling
• Has knowledge of alternative communication methods (meritorious)

To thrive in this role, you need to be:

• Flexible and secure in that the work can change with short notice
• Receptive, calm, and stress-resistant
• Independent but also a good team player
• A person with great patience and a professional attitude
• Must have a B-driver's license and access to a car.
