We are now looking for a colleague who can work both operationally and strategically to create conditions for more businesses to thrive and develop in our region.

Responsibilities:

Your primary responsibility is to listen to issues concerning the business community, both internally and at the local and regional levels, and to drive related activities. You will work on capturing the needs of the business community and acting as an ambassador for the municipality in many contexts.

You are also responsible for leading, organizing, and implementing project ideas and various events together with colleagues. The role also includes working with marketing and creating relevant content for our existing digital channels.

• Work with development plans and establishment issues
• Business support
• Networking
• Support interest associations, passionate individuals, and driven entrepreneurs
• Work proactively with marketing

Requirements for the position:

• University degree at bachelor's level
• At least 2 years of experience in business development or societal development issues
• Experience of strategic work in a politically governed organization or within the business community
• Experience of having driven own development projects
• Experience working with communication tools
• Experience in producing written documents
• Valid driver's license (Class B)
• Fluent in Swedish and English

Meritorious qualifications:

• Experience with authority issues
• Experience working with business climate
• Relevant network
• Other languages (in addition to those mentioned above)

About the workplace:

The position is organized at the Business Unit in Karlshamn Municipality. Here, a dedicated team works to create conditions for existing and new businesses to thrive in Karlshamn. We collaborate extensively with other associations, organizations, and public actors. At the Business Unit in Karlshamn, 8 people work with different focuses such as retail, visitor industry, business, establishment, and tourism.
