Your responsibilities - creating value and security

In the role of procurement specialist, you lead procurements in close collaboration with our various operations, acting as a support and advisor in procurement and contract matters. You transform complex needs into commercial, sustainable, and legally robust solutions, contributing to creating long-term value in major business deals.

You have clear overall responsibility for the entire purchasing process; from needs and market analyses, preparation of procurement documentation, advertising, evaluation of received bids, contract writing, implementation of contracts to contract follow-up. You are expected to take an active role both in the design of the business and in its execution, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and public benefit.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have at least two years of current and relevant work experience as a procurement specialist within public operations. You have good knowledge of and experience working according to the Public Procurement Act (LOU) and are accustomed to independently driving procurement processes. Furthermore, you have experience working in digital purchasing and procurement tools, such as Tendsign or similar systems. You also have very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, as well as good computer skills in modern IT systems.

Experience with IT procurements and good familiarity with different procurement procedures are considered meritorious. It is also positive if you have knowledge/experience working with information security in procurement. We also value that you feel confident communicating in English, both orally and in writing.

About us

The Economics and Strategic Purchasing unit is part of the Business Development and Support department. We consist of 17 employees who together are responsible for driving the development of the Agency's purchasing work, both operationally and strategically, as well as maintaining and developing the Agency's reporting. We are divided into an economics and a purchasing function, and as a procurement specialist, your main role is within the purchasing function.

Good to know

The position is a permanent employment with an initial six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement. Positions within the Swedish Energy Agency may be placed in a security classification, which implies security clearance and register check according to regulations in the Security Protection Act. In the case of permanent employment, war-time placement in the Agency may become relevant.
