Kalmarsunds Gymnasieförbund is a municipal association responsible for providing and developing upper secondary education and adult education for the member municipalities of Borgholm, Kalmar, Mönsterås, Mörbylånga, and Torsås. We have approximately 4,000 students and 600 employees distributed across our five schools.

About Jenny Nyströmskolan

Jenny Nyströmskolan is one of the upper secondary schools in Kalmarsunds Gymnasieförbund and has just over 900 students distributed across six national programs and three introductory programs. The school also includes an adapted upper secondary school. We are a forward-thinking school with an open climate that believes in both you as a teacher and our students. Who are you?

We are looking for you who want to teach social studies, history, and religion at the upper secondary level. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in close collaboration with subject colleagues and other staff.

Responsibilities

• Teach social studies, history, and religion
• Plan, implement, and follow up on teaching
• Evaluate and document students' knowledge development
• Contribute to a safe and stimulating learning environment
• Collaborate with colleagues, mentors, and student health services
• Mentorship in collaboration with another colleague

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Have a teacher education with eligibility in one or more of the subjects social studies, history, and religion, or are currently studying to become a teacher
• Have good pedagogical skills and a positive attitude
• Are structured, responsible, and flexible
• Easily build good relationships with students and colleagues

Personal suitability will be given great weight.

What we offer

The position is a fixed-term temporary assignment on a full-time basis for approximately eight weeks, with the possibility of extension if needed.

• Salary: Monthly salary
• Employment type: Fixed-term employment
• Duration: Approx. 8 weeks (11 days – 3 months)
• Start date: 2026-08-10 or upon agreement
• End date: 2026-10-02
• Working hours: Daytime

A satisfactory extract from the police record for work in schools must be presented before an employment offer is made.

The position is subject to the condition that it does not need to be taken by surplus staff or that required political decisions are made.
