We are currently looking for a mother tongue teacher/student support staff member with competence in Russian for Slottsskolan, preferably with a qualification combination in another subject.

About Slottsskolan

Slottsskolan is a lower secondary school (grades 7-9) located in central Borgholm. One day a week, students from grade 6 are present on site to study certain STEM subjects. The school's catchment area includes students from the southern half of the municipality, where students naturally begin their final years of compulsory school with us after grade 6.

Slottsskolan is well known for its successful work with many rewarding international projects and for being at the forefront of digital pedagogy. In combination with close cooperation with guardians and other authorities, we form a guiding force for the growing generation in the municipality.

The school has an integrated youth club, which takes over the premises after the school day ends. Staff at the club also work during the school day, acting as an important bridge between the curriculum's soft values and the measurable goals of knowledge. The school has a well-established student health service, which, together with teaching pedagogues, provides a secure adult presence.

The school's main task is to plan and carry out good pedagogical activities that result in high goal achievement for our students. As a mother tongue teacher/student support staff member with us, you are expected to work both individually and together with other colleagues and staff. Job Responsibilities

Being a mother tongue teacher/student support staff member in primary school is a exciting and interesting assignment. You are an important puzzle piece that, together with all other staff at the school, creates opportunities for our students to grow and develop in a secure environment. You will primarily focus on a specific class and the Russian-speaking student in this group, but you are also expected to be a supportive adult figure for others in the class. The position includes mother tongue instruction/study guidance in Russian.
