Your Responsibilities

As a Quality Inspector within Supplier Quality, you are responsible for independently planning, executing, and following up on dimensional inspections at suppliers of raw cast and finished machined components used in gas and steam turbines.

You ensure that inspections are performed according to current specifications and review associated documentation from both technical and formal perspectives. In case of deviations, you document and communicate results clearly, collaborating with colleagues from various functions to identify and drive necessary corrective actions.

In this role, you also work on qualifying and developing suppliers to strengthen the quality of both supplier processes and purchased components. You actively contribute to preventive quality work at suppliers and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and a global team to drive continuous improvements.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Planning, executing, and following up on dimensional inspections of raw cast and machined components.
• Reviewing technical documentation and drawing packages.
• Identifying, documenting, and reporting quality deviations.
• Participating in supplier qualification and supplier development.
• Driving and following up on preventive quality actions at suppliers.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders in an international environment.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have a technical background in mechanical engineering, production technology, workshop technology, or a similar field. You have several years of experience in dimensional control and quality work within the manufacturing industry, preferably with a focus on cast or machined components.

You are accustomed to working methodically and meticulously and have a good understanding of reading drawings, measurement technology, and quality assurance. To succeed in the role, you need to be self-reliant, communicative, and able to collaborate with people at different levels, both internally and externally.

We would appreciate if you have:

• Several years of experience in dimensional control and quality work.
• Good knowledge of measurement technology and drawing review.
• Experience with quality methods such as 5 Why, FMEA, 8D, and root cause analysis.
• Good skills in MS Office and SAP.
• Experience working in international environments.
• Good communication skills and a solution-oriented approach.
• Fluent English skills, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have experience working with 3D scanned and evaluated measurement data.

The role involves regular travel, both nationally and internationally, which assumes that you enjoy traveling for work.
