Your Role

At Advanced Platforms, we are looking for driven designers with at least 2 years of experience who want to help design the fuselage of tomorrow's fighter aircraft. We are in an intensive technology development phase, and you should be ready to challenge working methods and processes together with us to develop new technical solutions and build flying demonstrators. In this area, we are developing tomorrow's autonomous flight concepts with supersonic capability. The work consists of specific technology studies, ground demonstrators, and flying demonstrators. Our goal is to be a nimble organization that performs technology development by producing hardware in fast loops for rapid learning.

As a designer, you will be driving the design of our flying demonstrators, focusing on weighing and realizing all stakeholders' requirements for our products. The tasks include designing and creating manufacturing documentation for our new demonstration aircraft, as well as driving improvements to our working methods and processes. Depending on your skills and interests, the role can be deepened within the technical field and/or leadership.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring/contributing to sound design from blank page to finished product.
• Driving investigations of designs in challenging applications.
• Ensuring correct manufacturing documentation.
• Driving continuous improvement of working methods.
• Collaborating with other disciplines regarding design issues.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are an experienced designer with at least 2 years of experience and who want to be part of our organization where we dare to try new things, dare to challenge, but also dare to fail. You should be ready to embrace lessons learned and move forward. You should be a team builder, curious, and have a desire to learn.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• Good ability to function in cross-functional teams/organizations.
• Vocational college, university college, or university education in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or similar.
• Good understanding of basic design and experience working with CAD tools. Experience with CATIA, VPM, Siemens Teamcenter is meritorious but not a requirement.
• Experience in multidisciplinary development projects.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

The position requires that you undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
