To Aeronautics' business unit Advanced Programs, we are now looking for a Systems Engineer with a focus on availability, maintainability, and reliability, joining the Overall Design section within Weapon System & Overall Aircraft. We are shaping the fighter aircraft systems of the future where autonomous platforms, sensors, and decision-making functions collaborate - and we need you to ensure low operational costs and high availability in line with the requirements for future systems.

Your role

As a Systems Engineer with a focus on aspects such as availability, operational cost, and reliability, you work in all phases of the development project, from concept development to updates on mature systems. The goal is to ensure that the weapon system has the lowest possible operational costs and the highest possible availability through early analyses and innovative concepts. To achieve this, you perform analyses of how design choices affect these aspects and help develop the methods required to meet the goal. Your role also involves some preparation of manuals and technical instructions. You carry out your work together with chief engineers and experts within their respective subsystems.

Your profile

The profile we are looking for:

• Has a technical education or equivalent work experience.
• Has a strong interest in technology and understanding of the maintenance aspect of a product.
• Is communicative and oriented towards broad collaborations. We tackle this together!
• Has the ability to adapt to change and think innovatively.
• Communicates effectively in Swedish and English and has the ability to produce clear and pedagogical instructions.

It is meritorious if you also:

• Have experience working with reliability, availability, and similar aspects for complex systems.
• Have experience with documentation and preparation of instructions.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the current regulations for security clearance. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
