Your Role

At Advanced Platforms, we are looking for driven structural analysis engineers who want to help shape the fuselage of tomorrow's fighter aircraft. We are in an intense phase of technological development, and you should be ready to challenge working methods and processes together with us to develop new technical solutions and build flying demonstrators. In this area, we are developing future autonomous flight concepts with supersonic capabilities. The work consists of specific technology studies, ground demonstrators, and flying demonstrators. Our goal is to be a nimble organization that performs technology development by producing hardware in rapid loops for fast learning.

As a structural analysis engineer, you will be involved in shaping the design of our flying demonstrators, with a focus on structural integrity. The tasks will involve ensuring the structural integrity of new products through analytical methods and engineering assessments, as well as driving improvements in our working methods and processes. Depending on your skills and interests, the role can be deepened within technical and/or leadership areas.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring/contributing to robust structural design from blank sheet to finished product.
• Driving investigations of designs in challenging applications.
• Ensuring correct calculation basis.
• Driving continuous improvement of working methods.
• Collaborating with other disciplines regarding structural integrity.

Your Profile

We are looking for you, a newly graduated or experienced structural analysis engineer, who wants to be part of our organization where we dare to try new things, dare to challenge, but also dare to fail. To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• Good ability to function in cross-functional teams/organizations.
• Higher education or university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Technical Physics, or similar.
• Good understanding of fundamental structural mechanics and experience working with FEM tools.
• Experience with Hypermesh, Abaqus, Nastran, Matlab, and basic knowledge of CAD tools are meritorious but not a requirement.
• Good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

The position requires that you undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
